I asked the Lord to let the daydreams in my head become a reality. He delivered! Why then, all of a sudden, am I scared of it? . . . Because it’s uncharted territory for me. It’s out of my comfort zone. It’s something new. It’s something challenging. It’s . . . . ch, ch, change. But you know what? I asked for it and He answered! And because He answered, I know it is in line with His will. So why am I freaked out?
Enter Self Pep-Talk . . . He loves me! He brought me to it, He’ll bring me through it. He is with me, always. He has plans to prosper me and not to harm me. Plans to give me hope and a future. I will trust in Him with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding, in all my ways I will acknowledge Him and HE WILL DIRECT MY PATHS! If God is on my side, who is there to appear against me? I can do all things through Christ, He is my strength! He doesn’t choose the equipped, He equips the chosen! And if He does all of this for me – He will do it for you! Have faith! Yes, that’s what I said. Have faith!
Fear creeps in when we pray without expecting Him to answer. We wonder if He heard us. We’ve all done it, right? We pray for things but we still doubt. We don’t mean to, we just do. We get lost in our tiny little brain of being human and trusting only in what we can see. But we need to walk by faith, not by sight, right? Right! It’s not that we don’t believe He can move mountains, because we know He can. He also parted the sea, turned water into wine, made the blind to see and the lame to walk, among many other miracles! And best yet, he died and arose again! Who does that? It is possible, but we tend to get stuck in the impossible because we’re praying from our point of view. Our little point of view. The next time you pray, jump up on God’s mountain and imagine what He sees from His viewpoint. He is capable! It’s huge to us, but God is bigger than any of our problems and circumstances, and to Him – it’s a piece of cake.
So go climb that mountain with fearless faith and pray like you’ve never prayed before!
“Faith, mighty faith, the promise sees, And looks to God alone; Laughs at impossibilities, And cries it shall be done.” ~ Charles Wesley
Have a blessed day!
